Speaking in tongues
Introduction: One of the most beneficial gifts of the Holy Spirit is to speak in tongues. This gift appears to precede other gifts in many instances and was/is the initial manifestation of the baptism of the Holy Ghost. However, there appears to be muddled up understanding of the usefulness of this gift by some believers. So many people in compromise, who had this manifestation, are reluctant to use it; while others think it is the privilege of a few “approved Men of God”. We shall delve more into this phenomenon in today’s study…

God knows our frames and He understands why He has privileged us to be enhanced in the area of giving us a second language of communication. It is like a code, best understood by Him and by our spirits. When we use it, our spirits become lifted and His presence becomes real to us. This way, our confidence is bolstered…an essential ingredient of faith.
