Power to get wealth

Power means the ability to do or become something and or influence an end result. The scripture repeatedly confirms that God has given his children the ability to make wealth. Yet we do not see a lot of church folks in the lead in the economies of this present world. In contrast, Christianity is viewed as a religion of the poor people. Ignorance, deliberate self-harm and incompetence are recognised attributes that nourish deprivations. Since knowledge of the truth is the first step towards freedom, we shall look at the detail of our inheritance in God during this study. Godly use of money

Introduction: Money is good, only as a means to achieve ends. The world system is built around acquisition of money, for which it has been categorised into 1 st and 3 rd worlds. The love of money is the root of all evil. As believers, there is need for us to redirect our orientation to demonstrate a breakaway from the norm. It may look foolish, but it is those “foolish things” that God uses to confound the wisdom of the world. We are in the world, but not of the world. Where a man’s treasure is, there his heart will be also. If you want to see a man committed to righteousness, study where his money goes. We will discuss how money should be handled by believers. Attitude towards wealth

Introduction: When you have wealth, many things seem to work well. It is such a great asset that Moses said, “...for it is He who gives you power to get wealth...” No doubt, every good and perfect gift is from God, our Father, with whom there is no favouritism. However, the experience of many church folks suggests that they are living below the line of survival. There is need to urgently recapture the benefits the Lord has prepared for our enjoyment, one of which is prosperity through provision of resources. God’s gifts are provided to those who are prepared for them. Today’s study deals with developing the right attitude that enhances the availability of wealth. Text: Luke 12:12-21 ·          Define wealth ·          How evil is money? Exod 12:36, Prov 10:15 ·          How far can wealth go? Ps 49:17, Prov 27:24 ·          Ge...
