Good communication

Introduction: Speech precedes action. Before any meaningful event, there must have been some spoken communication. The earth was created by spoken words and by the same means, seasons are ensured. As important as belief is in the path of attaining righteousness, salvation is only possible through speech (Confession). The “prodigal” son cried when he looked at the situation he took himself into. As soon as he made the statements, “I will arise and go to my father …” it set forgiveness in motion and a great welcome/celebration was given in honour to this “rebel who squandered his father’s wealth in riotous living”. Our constitution is wired to respond to speech, so does the entire universe. All it takes for a country to go to war with its neighbour is exchange of unpleasant words or rumours. We need to harness this revelation to benefit in our year of restoration.

It takes conscious efforts to crystallise your words and speak right, especially when under stressful conditions. Knowing how powerful our words are, we need to determine to permit only constructive words to proceed from our lips. Use this to your profit. Your lips are given to you for your advancement. Do not run yourself down.

Self Evaluation

We are encouraged to routinely check on ourselves so as to avoid condemnation. Judging oneself prevents others from judging us. Also, as we get close to the end of the year, it will be helpful to sit back, critically take a fair look at things that have transpired spiritually and otherwise, and ascertain areas of improvement for the future. Everyone competing does so for a prize. We must run according to the rules, otherwise we may be deemed to have gone through the race dubiously. You will require humility to go through the study. Goal driven life -Introduction

It is a true statement the fact that if you aim at nothing, you hit something; and that is, Nothing.  It is a factual lie that the good things that happen to us do so by chance. Even miracles happen to people that show disposition for them. For fear of not being described as failures, many people prefer to continue “sheepishly” in life, allowing the theology of “whatever will be will be” , shunning away from drawing out plans for their lives.
