Witnesses for God


Although our consciences are the greatest and most personal witness of the existence of God, there exists a gamut of evidence that leaves men without excuse. God’s endurance with men has led to plurality of witnesses in order to provide equal chances for all men to be saved. Getting men to know God was a priority of Jesus’ earthly ministry.

Discuss how the following bear witness to the existence and power of God.

3.         Holy ghost…John 16:13, Acts 1:8, 1Cor 2:4-5
4.         Our experiences…1Cor 12:4, Eph 4:8, John 16:24
Summary: Many times, we would have accepted the witnesses enumerated above but the deceitfulness of sin, love for this world’s passing pleasures and desire to get rich drift us into secularism. Many a believer have compromised their faith in exchange for societal prominence and dragged along with them weaklings whose faiths were hanging on men’s. Safeguard yourself from the trap of the enemy. Keep reminding yourself of these things and the Lord will bless your latter end. God will not bring to shame, but to glory, whose mind is stayed on Him.

Self Evaluation

We are encouraged to routinely check on ourselves so as to avoid condemnation. Judging oneself prevents others from judging us. Also, as we get close to the end of the year, it will be helpful to sit back, critically take a fair look at things that have transpired spiritually and otherwise, and ascertain areas of improvement for the future. It is a true statement the fact that if you aim at nothing, you hit something; and that is, Nothing.  It is a factual lie that the good things that happen to us do so by chance. Even miracles happen to people that show disposition for them.
